  • Boise Comic Arts Festival is a FREE two-day comics celebration hosted by Boise Public Library.

Saturday, September 5 & Sunday, September 6 - BCAF XIV at Boise Centre (850 W Front St.) The weekend will include cosplay competitions, presentations, performances, panels, workshops, portfolio reviews, and an Artists' Alley with creators, vendors, and exhibitors.

BCAF is a curated show. While we seek to highlight the best artists working in Boise’s growing comics community, we also welcome creators from farther afield. Establishing a forum for connection and collaboration is central to our mission, as is representing the broad diversity within comics. Tables are not allotted on a first come, first served basis, but rather are awarded based on the recommendations of a selection jury. The jury will take into consideration a variety of criteria to determine which exhibitors represent the best fit for the show. Top priority is given to comics creators and comics publishers, but all are welcome and encouraged to apply.

We encourage you to take your time and put together a strong application. Please direct any questions to boisecomicartsfestival@cityofboise.org. Applications will NOT be accepted after March 6, 2026. There is no application fee.

DEADLINE FOR COMPLETE APPLICATIONS: FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2026

APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED REGARDING ADMISSION ON: FRIDAY, APRIL 10, 2026

TABLE FEE PAYMENT DUE BY: FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2026

  • Our Artists' Alley this year will be held on Saturday, September 5 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., and Sunday, September 6 from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Boise Centre. We will have six options for exhibitor spaces:

    1. Half Table ($65.00) - 4 feet of table space shared with another exhibitor. This option comes with one chair and table linen.
    2. Full Table ($130.00) - An 8 foot table space of your own. This option comes with two chairs and table linen. Exhibitors selecting this option will NOT be allowed to bring additional tables.
    3. Booth ($300.00) - A 10' x 10' booth space of your own. This option comes with one 8-foot table, 2 chairs, and table linen. Exhibitors choosing this option may bring additional tables or shelving, but everything must fit within the allotted 10' x 10' space.
    4. Premium Booth ($400.00) - A 10' x 20' booth space of your own, located near the entrance to Artists' Alley. This option comes with two 8-foot tables, 4 chairs, and table linen. Exhibitors choosing this option may bring additional tables or shelving, but everything must fit within the allotted 10' x 20' space.
    5. This year we're also offering exhibitor spaces to relevant non-profit and governmental entities. There will be a limited number of these spaces available and we're seeking exhibitors whose work is in the fields of comics, the arts, education, libraries, or fandom. These applications will go through the same exhibitor jury process and selected applicants will be provided a space at no cost.
    6. Non-profit or Government Entity Half Table (FREE) - 4 feet of table space shared with another exhibitor. This option comes with one chair and table linen.
    7. Non-profit or Government Entity Full Table (FREE) - An 8 foot table space of your own. This option comes with two chairs and table linen.

The registration fee is due upon acceptance into BCAF.
Applicants may only apply once and only for one space. Choose the space that best fits your needs and budget.

  • Boise Centre charges an additional $60.00 fee per exhibitor for use of electricity. For those who would like access to electricity at their space, we will work with you on an individual basis to make those arrangements. Due to the location of electrical outlets, this may also determine where you're located in Artists' Alley. We will need exhibitors to cover the additional $60.00 charge that's incurred for access to electricity.

  • INFORMATION FOR PROMOTIONS AND THE SELECTION PANEL

  • The information you enter here will be used by the selection panel to award table space. Providing complete and relevant information in this section is key. This is your opportunity to shine! The selection panel needs to know about you and your work, and what you plan to sell or share at the event if selected. Be sure to include your website and social media, as well as up to five photos of your booth setup (if available) and your work or products. If you are unable to provide us with photos and need to submit your work samples by a different method, please email boisecomicartsfestival@cityofboise.org Even if you've exhibited at BCAF in the past, please be sure to fully complete this section. The makeup of the selection jury changes from year to year, so jurors may not be familiar with past exhibitors. Incomplete applications will receive a lower score which will impact your chance of being awarded a space.

    • Artificial Intelligence (AI) Rule
    • Boise Comic Arts Festival is focused on art created by humans. All exhibitors are prohibited from displaying and selling work that was created using generative AI. Parody is not an exception to this rule. In the event a work made using generative AI is displayed, a BCAF representative will ask that it be removed. If the exhibitor refuses, they may be asked to leave the event. Refunds will not be provided to exhibitors asked to leave the festival for violating this rule.

    • Parking & Load-in
    • Boise Comic Arts Festival is not able to provide exhibitors with parking passes or parking validation. There are a number of public parking garages near Boise Centre, and parking expenses are the sole responsibility of exhibitors and event participants.

Due to the limited parking spaces for load-in we will be scheduling load-in times for exhibitors. There will be load-in times available on Friday, September 4 from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 5 from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. We encourage anyone who can, to load in on Friday. We will reach out in early August to schedule load-in times with exhibitors.

BCAF will be contracting with Boise Centre to provide additional Wi-Fi bandwidth for exhibitors, though can make no promises about connectivity speed. Exhibitors are also welcome to bring personal hotspots.

    •
    • Food & Beverage
    • Boise Centre does not allow outside food or beverages on the premises, so please plan accordingly.

Exhibitors will have access to the Green Room where we will provide beverages (water, coffee, soda). Boise Centre is located in the heart of downtown, with many nearby food options available, in addition to Boise Centre's on-site concessions.
